About the project
E-terns is a website to remember our loved ones called 'Eternal' in a digital way. In this website we can find biographies of the Eternal Ones, where the user can leave condolences, know their location in the cemetery and even buy them flowers among other features.
The main need was to redesign the web in a way that it would be attractive and very easy to use, given that most of the user are elderly and we must bear in mind the digital gap that exists between young people and older people.
My role
The main objective was to get to know the website in detail, all its functionalities and to know the end users, in order to structure all the content in a simple, basic and easy way, so that any user could reach their objective without difficulty.
Tools
Paper, pencil, Sketch and Zeplin..
Process of design
The development team was small so I was asked to make a design development that was simple in terms of difficulty and not too excessive in terms of time, so I tried to maintain certain elements or create simple elements to reduce that cost.
With the defined objective, I carried out a content reordering, in which the most used basic funcionalities by the users became more important, such as searching and creating Eternal, writing condolences and creating or reading biographies. Another objective was that the platform would transmit serenity and calm, that is why the color blue symbolizing the sky, is the predominant color together with the color representing the brand.
The intention of this small platform was to continue studying the users and their behavior on the web in order to continue iterating in the design and to obtain future improvements that will continue to facilitate the digital experience of the users.
